I talked to someone a couple months ago about their tile in their leo's 20 gallon tank.

It's ceramic tile (I believe) from Lowe's.

I was wondering how many tile it takes to cover the bottom of a 20 gallon tank(20 Long).

Well tile just doesn't come in one size. But any how if you get 3 tiles exactly 12"x12" that should cover it, it also makes a little step because the tank isn't 36". I used five peices of tile to make a bigger step (about 1 inch high) and it looks great.

I use the 12"x12" tiles from lowes. I use them in my 20 gal long and my 55 gallon. 4 tiles fit perfectly in the 55 and 2 and 1/2 tiles are in the 20 gallon. i had to use a tile cutter to get the last tile to fit in that 20 gallon.
