My first bd. Meet Eduardo

chrisnvegas Jan 25, 2005 11:34 AM

It's actually my second but the first one didn't last 24 hours. I found the first bd in my driveway about 2 months ago. After sccoping him up in a box and searching online for what I needed I ran to the pet store and picked it up. After I got it all set up he lasted a total of 5 hours before he died. Turned out he had some major internal injuries. Might explain why he was so aggressive.

Anyway, on a lighter note, this is Eduardo. I got him about 2 days after the other one died. He's about 16".

The bedding is alfalfa pellets. I just changed him over from sand 2 weeks ago. The smell is a little wierd but other than that it's working out ok. I had asked in an earlier thread if anyone else had used this or heard of any negative experiences and didn't get any feedback.

The down side to Alfalfa pellets is that it holds moisture and will mold. Mold isn't good for your dragon, nor is a wet substrate. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Good luck with your new beardie.
