Ok, I got my green iguana, Iggy, a few weeks ago and I've noticed something lately. She (for lack of better term - Iggy is unsexed) has been burying her food dish whenever I put it in the cage. Anyone know a reason for this? She's kept in our pet room which has an ambient temperature between 75 and 80 with a heat lamp/UV light (has UVB) and it's close enough for her to bask (no more than 9" or so). She also likes to fill up her water dish for some reason. She's still really feisty and tries to get away when I'm holding her two handed but as soon as I start doing something in her cage with one hand she quits trying to get away - kind of amusing. I'm just trying to slowly hold her longer and longer to get used to me. Ok...done rambling...I was just curious (and I do feed her a varied diet of fresh foods).
