One of the girls pooped out some nasty stuff tonight. Jelly looking mucus stuff that stinks. I took a sample and will go to the vet in the AM, but curious about what might be the problem.
Any thoughts are welcome.

I've been fortunate enough to never have had to deal with what your decribing. Pics would help though. Just make sure you keep the stool fresh that way the vet can get every bit of info needed without any problem..lol. Good luck, if you find out anything it might be helpful to come back and let us know. It might help someone in the future.

Mucous and odor are usually signs of protozoal (single-cell parasites) or bacterial infections. Good call on taking a sample to the vet. Make sure it stays refrigerated and doesn't dry out.

sometimes mine do this if they pig out on waxworms. But it is a good idea to get it cleared w/ a fecal anyway. Esp. if the next one is too
