Ball Python Length/Weight Charts

CJBianco Jan 25, 2005 10:10 PM

Are there any online resources that have an average length/weight chart for Ball Pythons? I'm interested to find out the average "healthy" weight per various lengths -- male and female. For instance, if someone claims they have a "37 Ball Python, I'd like to see what weight it SHOULD be.

Thanks In Advance,
Chris =)

Thats a good question.
Here is one to go along with it.

I have seen minimum recomended breeding weights for females range from 1500 down to 1000 grams.Is the range due to the various lengths they grow to?

My largest female is over 5.5' and 2700 grams(has bred 4x this year.
Another of mine(pictured)is 3.5' and 1300 grams.She was 880 grams and just over 3' a year ago and appears to have maxed out in length.(fed 1 medium rat weekly)

Is she actually "more than ready"?
