Question about Shingleback Skinks?

PoohBear01 Jan 26, 2005 12:38 AM

I have been wondering if shingleback skinks are legal in the US at this time? I believe that they are a part of the BTS family, and they are the ones with the big stumpy tail that looks like a head. I see that some are for sale in their homeland Australia, and are quite common there, but know that Australia does not export their animals. I was wondering why none made it here like the beardies did or the Ausralian Northern BTS? I want one, and would be curious as to the price if they are legal, if you need a permit in Fl. and any info anyone has, they are facsinating, and I would love to learn more about them, thanks everyone!!!

You might want to check out bluetongueskinks.net for information on all the blue-tongued skink species, to talk about them on the forum, and possibly to find someone with information on obtaining some of your own.
