Yeehaw he fed

gtwarren Jan 26, 2005 08:26 AM

This is my first post. I just got a male normal last week and the shop owner said he was eating live small rats. He's about 30 inches long now. I tried a small rat and he acted like he was afraid of it so I took it out. I then tried a gerbil and the gerbil attacked him so I took him out. I tried the mouse and he ignored it. I then killed the mouse and just left it in the tank last night. Got up this morning and the mouse is gone. I'm glad he'll eat prekilled so I don't have to worry about him getting bitten.

It's strange, huh? Both my Heterozygous Piebald girls refuse to eat anything off tongs/hemostats...but if it's left on the cage floor overnight...it's gone the next morning. My Normal girl is the opposite. She will ONLY eat off tongs/hemostats...and if it's left on the cage floor overnight...it's STILL there is the morning. To each her own. =)

Chris =)
