mealworms bad?

shadowmonkey01 Jul 05, 2003 07:57 PM

I have a leopard gecko that recently decided that he doesn't like to eat crickets? I have counted out how many i give him usually 6 or so and when I go back they are still in there. He chows down on the mealies w/o a problem will a diet of mealworms hurt him, I know bored crickets will.

As long as the mealies are gutloaded(like any food item should be), they will be a perfectly fine staple diet. He's just bored of his crix...

Mealworms make a great staple for leos...I prefer to use them rather than crickets. Put the mealies in a dish or they will bite the leo.
