(I'm not trying to side-step the issue, but I was wondering where exactly you live in SC. I'm in the upstate -- Spartanburg. It's always good to know a local Ball Python enthusiast.)

Hello,

The wild animal bill got signed into law by Gov. Pataki and is now in effect. However, this bill only restricts ownership of the giant constrictors (burms, retics, rocks, scrubs & anacondas), venomous snakes, heloderms, crocodilians, and big monitors (niles crocs, waters & albigs). Ball pythons as well as the smaller non-venomous snakes and other herps not deemed dangerous are still perfectly legal. It sucks, but it could have been a lot worse.

Will
