Its Day 107 today an still nothing!I stayed up all night last night because I thought for sure that this was going to be the day that I had new baby boa's but nothing! She was pacing bigtime,I mean the other times I seen her pacing was nothing compaired to the pacing she was doing last night,She was doing the tail wag an the whole 9 yards an still nothing!I cut up my old lady's mop bucket to make her a hide an she wasnt a bit interested in that period! She dont wanna have them in that tank, period,I know everyone says not to touch them when they are this close an I havent but,I truely believe it aint gonna happen! She is holding back for some reason! An with all the signs firing off that I have learnt about gravid boa's giving birth,I just dont know!An from what I have learnt about boa's giving birth,if she keeps this up their will be no vialable babies an possibly no raindrop also!Sry everyone I am pretty upset this morning because I dont want to see dead babies again or my boa dead either but from what I have read if she keeps this up thats whats going to happen! An thats just the kind of luck life has thrown at me if she does! Thanks for reading Eric[Hypoboa]

I'm rooting for you!
I will be producing my first litter of boas March 18-28 with any luck, and I am ecstatic.
I have produced lots of colubrids, but boas are sure a different game.
I can't wait to see pictures, hope the littere comes out nicely, they sound like they are going (have gone) full term, at least.

Of course it's my opinion, I said it, didn't I?
Breeding season is always just around the corner....JOY!!!

It would be more likely for her to crush the babies if she were to give birth in the hide...crumple up some newspaper or paper towels and put them on one side of the tank, she can give birth under the paper if she's seeking refuge to give birth.

One of my B.c.c. went 140 days POS. The longer the time, the better the odds of a viable litter. Within reason of course.

I think I am wearing a path in front of her cage...from all my paceing! She has not even started her paceing yet! Oh well one of my girls hits 100 days POS, on Friday!

Hey all, after the first year breeding...does it get better? I mean with the waiting....this wait is killing me!

I must say, if I have to wait longer for better healthy babies so be it. My wife says I didn't pace this much when our kids were born...lol.

Patience...Patience.....Patience...why can't she just spit one out so I can see it? Oh...one more thing...who all is waiting for babies?? Post and let us know who is waiting and where you are at.

Good luck all, Andy

I reckin at times while I am educating myself,I may read into things a little bit more than maybe I should! But,Witnessing her push them down an pull them back up an push them back down again scared me!The way my luck seems to be at times I think the worst before the best!Meaning I thought for sure that she had busted the embriotic sack an babies were smothering,She has been pacing on an off already today! Not as hard as last night but she is still pacing! An like Lee said Patience is a virtue! An that is somthing that I am having no choice but to learn at this point!Wether I like it or not the big girl is teaching me that, lol!Well when they come Ill let everyone know,Thanks for listening to my rants!Eric[Hypoboa]

Hi, somethings that I try to do is to avoid any movement that she could see. I'd hang a sheet in front of her cage with a peephole cut in it so she might feel that it's "safe". I'd also avoid messing with her cage completely - unless her water is gross. I think this may be one reason why they often have there babies at night when its calm.
I know many times Boas go past 107, so don't fret just yet. What ever happens, is gonna happen wether you worry about it or not - SO STOP.
I wish you the best. I'm sure that I'm not the only one checking in on this daily. We're all behind you -- David M
