ZIA * Yet another LOVELY Lady, C. bicinctores

PHEve Jan 26, 2005 01:38 PM

And so very LOVELY she really is . She has filled out and matured a bit since last season.

Shes still a young widow , her Spectacular husband (Yuma)a gift from Will Wells, passed away last year.

I'm sure a Gorgoeus young suitor will come her way,

Zia pretty female/ C. bicinctores

that's it. i am just going to swing by your house and kidnap zia and give her to kaiser berg. there are no bicinctores anywhere! i was just going to opt for a regular collared so he would not have to live alone and i cannot even find that!
spring is so far away.

Hey Vonnie,

Have you checked www.desertreptiles.com? I haven't been there for a few months, but they were selling bicinctores children, and adults. I don't know if they still are, but it might be worth a look. Another idea Why don't you go hunt for one? As I recall you're in San Diego. Just drive a little ways to the East, and you're probably in good habitat. Get your fishing permit and get out there! lol dunno. Just a suggestion. =)

Just drive on over to Las Vegas, they habitat is on Black Mountain (The One covered with a million satellites at the top) is becoming developed with neighborhoods and people's dogs and cats will probably knock out some of the population.

Zia as always is still pretty, are those 2 black spots right behind her collar? Cory has almost a whole black stripe in the same place.

This photo of Cory isn't that great...

Anyways I took it the same day that I went onto the back porch to take photos of Ezra, and the sliding door locked me outside in a short shorts and jogging bra (mid 50s outside). My husband wasn't going to be home for a couple hours, luckily my neighbors rescued me. It was the first time I met them and turns out most of my neighbors work for the BLM.

The ones I met so far all loved Ezra, and never seen a lizard like him. I did hear another herp loving neighbor has a large collection of nonvenomous snakes and I might like to meet him, but he also squashes little side-blotched lizards with his foot to feed to the snakes. Maybe I could convince to quit that...

up to the part with the neighbor who squishes the side blotchies, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I would not even want to meet him.
I know many people feed their snakes, critters. I think snakes are quite awesome, but could not own them for that reason.
Thats a shame side blotch lizards are pretty, and are always used for feeders, as anoles are too.

Glad you and Ezra got back in, heheheeheh

Yeah, I had a similar sort of heartsick response to reading about his snake feeding habits.

Eve, there are snakes you can keep that aren't objectionable at feeding time. My sweet little Midland Brown snake eats earthworms. I don't mind feeding those at all.

I actually have been looking at some gorgegous Green Rough snakes, look like a vine snake in color, but they are an insect eater only. Neat to know,

Oh Elan, you and I would get into trouble if we were neighbors, LOL my gosh there would be critters coming out the cracks, hahahhahaha !
