Star Tortoise Breeding

At what size are Star Tortoises breedable? My male is a little over 4 inches and my female is 6 inches. Should they be separated at all? Can adults be caged with juveniles? Thanks in advance.

_unless it's Mazuri overdozed in captivity, males usually @ about 4.75"- 5", females about 7" and up.
