i don't know enough about the dickersons or taxonomy to really ream the article, but is mexican collared lizard a real common name? and wouldn't it be more appropriate for the vestigiums

Hey Vonnie,
If it means anything to you, Vestigium is also called the Baja Collared Lizard. Its territory, as far as I'm aware extends from Southern CA into Baja, I don't think it goes much further East than that. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
The pic is of a collaris though isn't it? I thought male dickersonae were uniform blue....Of course, I never seen them in the wild, or in person for that matter. SO thats my guess.....

ah yes the baja collared. i knew it had some kind of name.
i will have to look up some dickersons. one day i will have time to learn it all, as for now i will just have to get what i can in between studying latin american things
