I took my nephew out this morning to look for DI's; we caught three big males and saw about 15 total. Once 10:30am rolled around and the temperatures climbed above 100 degrees, they started moving at light speeds and we gave up our search.

I finally got to chase some of these in Az a while back------- never got too close though!! Which is good---I did not have to run far at all!

If not for a fishing pole and a special lizard noose, I doubt that I'd be catching anything today; as kids we used to run them down during the heat of the day; dig them out of holes and just about anything else...no more!
they im 13 and live in Az these DI are hard to catch becuse they are super fast and as soon as they see you they run to the nerest ground hog hole it sucks. and i chatfour male four female and 2 hachling
