I got a pair from Shannon last year. Mine are 3& half to 4'long . They some time refuse a meal here and there . I think they will get pretty large but it may 3 or 4 years.

All of the bulls from around the 277 area that I have seen are in the upper end of the size range of bulls from anywhere. But with that said I have seen some that were around 6 - 6 1/2 feet as adults. ( 4 -5 years old ) 277 Bulls also in our experience are not as heavy bodied as some of the other locale animals, so to answer the question most will end up being 7'+ as adults but a few will top 8' and a few will be 6 - 7'. Still huge animals by colubrid standards to say the least.

That's a very pretty snake, what exactly is that? Tom Stevens
And addicting
she hatched 06-03-05. She will settle down after a few minutes of trying to race out of my hands. She was big when I got her, for a baby. I fed her a couple pinks to start and she has taken frozen hopper mice since. She is a pig and growing fast.
please excuse the ignorance, but what's a "277 bull?" i'm guessing a highway? texas, oklahoma?
please to inform,
matt
1. A "277" bull is a bull that is a locale animal that originated from the highway State Highway 277 that runs from Sonora Texas down to Del Rio Texas. A number of extremely long bulls have been collectted from that area. I believe Jeff Baringer found one that was over 8' a couple of years ago. Extremely impressive for a wild caught animal. I believe it was DOR, but was still impressive.
2. That is an albino Pacific Gopher out of a line I got from the Late Llyod Lemke prior to his death. Neat little guys will every shade of purple and blue you can think of with a high contrast of oranges and reds. I have really enjoyed our pacific's as they are really mellow pits, with good colors and all the ingredients to make snows etc. A neat project.
By the way thanks for the kudos on the snakes, it makes us very happy to know folks appreciate what we are trying to do with the collection.

I traded one of my possible het Patternless Pines[for Albino] to John Jr. 2 years ago. Could the Pine in the pic be a result of a breeding involving that snake? I am breeding my pair plus an 02 holdback this spring. I really love those Patternless Albinos. Tom Stevens
yes your southern is part of the program and they are producing a whole group of really nice southerns. We enjoy the southern project nearly as much as our bulls. They are really impressive as adult animals. Check out the pic below you can see why we enjoy them so much.

I am glad to see he is doing his thing with the ladies. I am breeding my 7 year old pair again this year plus an 02 Albino Patternless holdback is being bred to the father. My leftovers from 04 are already about 24 inches and they were born in mid Sept and not powerfed at all. They get pissy like the ones in your pic[which all look awesome by the way] but once you pick them up they usualy calm down immediately. Some seem super mellow from the get go and are so much fun to handle it's hard to put them back in their cages. They're one of my favorite snakes. My 7 year old female resembles a boa when she is gravid. Just an enormous snake, good luck with everything. Tom Stevens

ah yes. i thought that number looked familiar. one of the grey-band roads i've heard so much about. never got caught up in any of those traffic jams, even though i collected whiptail lizards around sanderson for four years.
thanks john,
matt
