Is this a good place to get crickets? Are they clean and healthy. Accurate quantities, etc? Is there a better place?
Thank you

I've used them for mealworms...prices were great, shipped quickly, if quantities were off there were extra, lost only a few (probably my fault)
I would assume that they are just as good about crickets.

Hi, I use Reptilefood.com. I have found that they are very good, Once i had an order that came in dead, which I think was FEDEX'S fault, I think they put them in the cooler because they were ice cold. I contacted the company and they sent another order with not a penny out of my pocket and plus they added some mealworms for free because of all the troubles.
They are easy to work with and to boot i think the prices are great and the shipping costs wasnt that bad either being that it was sent over night.
Sorry to hijack your thread but while we're on the subject of crickets, what's the difference between the mail order crickets and the crickets from the Petco right down the street? If you feed the crickets for a day and then gut load them, they should be just as healthy as the mail order one, right?
Price...ordering in bulk online is MUCH MUCH cheaper...$0.01-$0.02 compared to $0.08-$0.10 (at PETsMART at least)

for real - as much as these guys eat -
Assuming you feed an avg of 12 crix a day. In 30 days you will spend $36 at petsmart, vs. $5.40 with ordering. $367 a year
more.
Now if you find a petsmart where you get a guy that doesn't care how accurate he's being, and over give's you by 5 times - then your in the clear (that would be like ordering a dozen and getting 60).
Its not the fact that you can buy them locally, but like me I have more then one mouth to feed i go through 4000 crickets every two weeks not to mention mealworms.
I have a reptile business and Im venturing into breeding this year, so buying online is so much cheaper and easier because they will deliver right to your door.
I use them quite a bit. They have very good service and a good product from what I can tell.
Good luck,
Ian
