wooden enclosure?

I'm thinking of making an enclosure out of wood but will it be to humid in there and cause problems with the wood...any suggestions?

Wooden enclosures can work, but must be coated with a waterproofing agent. I have used two part epoxy paint with success, and I have heard other people have had good luck with fiberglass resin. In my experience, fiberglass resin results in air budbles that allow water to seep through.

I just built a 70 gallon. Front half glass, back half wood. I covered the wood with pond liner and made a good seal on the seams and edges with silicone. Was pretty cheep for the size because pond liner over wood is much much cheaper than glass.
