Hatchling Corns

ShadowDruid Jan 26, 2005 08:03 PM

Hey,

Just have a few questions.

How do you guys go about picking up baby corns ? Mine tries to slither away but I grab him and gently pull him/her out of his cage and then when I'm handling him he's calm and seems fine. Is that okay ? Will he ever let me go in there and just pick him up ??

And how do I know when to start giving him/her two pinkies ??

p.s. This little guy is such an amazing feeder! He has never missed a feeding... I just wanted to let you guys know cause all you ever hear about are the snakes that dont' feed.

Thanks in advance!

As long as you are gentle the way you are handling him is fine. As time passes he will mellow out and soon (hopefully) he wotn even move away when you come to pick him up.

As far as feeding, its different for every snake. Generally, when one pinkie doesn't make a bulge in his belly, or when he is out and cruising for food within a day, i would up it to two.
