Is it OK to feed snakes on aspen shavings

if you are going to, i would put it on a large piece of paper towel... you don't want your snake to ingest any of the aspen. this can cause impaction.

I have used aspen and pine shavings for more than 25yrs. Never had any problems feeding, my snakes very rarely get any in their mouth when feeding. Pinkie eaters I do lay a piece of paper towel down because the shavings stick to the pinkies. I could see the possibility of a hatchling becoming impacted, but once they get some size if they do ingest any it will pass through. Just my opinon. I think aspen is the the best way to go, again just my opinon.
