How do you keep humidity up in a vision cage

I have taped the back of the cage and spray once a day and have moss in there but it always becomes dry. This is for my retic.

it seems that you are using aspen shavings - aspen does not hold humidity very well. I would reccomend to either use cypress mulch (home depot) or coco husk products (www.creaturetravelers.com)

either of these will help your humidity stay higher. also don't trust the cheapo humidity gauges... they're not accurate at all. You want to keep your substrate wet, however, and aspen will end up molding/mildewing when kept wet and... i just wouldn't use it.

Keep your moist cypress or coco husk substrate and mist daily and you should be fine.

I had the same problem. What I did was closed off the vents about 90 percent with foil.When it was shed time I put in a rubbermaid tub with a damp towel directly over the heat tape, redampened the towel daily, had no prblems shedding.
