Kentucky Reptile Expo...saw some troubling things

PythonJunkie Jul 05, 2003 09:26 PM

I attended the Kentucky Reptile Expo for the first time this weekend..I saw some things that made me upset. I saw this one vendor with a 4 foot alligator in a 20-30 gallon rubbermaid...no room for him to move at all. I also saw a lot of baby balls that looked as if they had never seen food in their lives. Im not saying bad things about the show itself or its promotors...just some things I saw in some vendors. In all they only had around 15-20 vendors. it took maybe about 5 minutes to look at everything. I drove for 3 hours each way for that!! Never Again!!!! If anyone that reads this and was there this Saturday July 5th....Let me know what you thought as well
Thanx

Yea, I also went to the reptile show. It sucked pretty bad and I was very disappointed. This is the only show close to my home and it was the first time I had went. The whole alligator thing was pretty weird... He got it out and it had horrible nose-rub and all of its teeth were broke, the tub had a label on it that said he needed some TLC, I guess the vendor was out... Mostly all they had were bearded dragons, ball pythons, and leopard geckos ::surprise surprise:: I don't know about everyone else but I like a little more exotic things
