Pyramiding and a Leopard Totoise

fred4444 Jul 05, 2003 09:27 PM

I recently acquired a 3-year-old leopard tortoise with a bad case of pyramiding and I was wondering what I should do to make it healthy again. I have read that there are often other internal health problems that accompany pyramiding, so I was also wondering what I should make sure the vet checks when I take her in to have her examined. Is there anything else I should know or look for inreguards to this new tortoise? Thanks!

There are some real head cases that will say the pyramiding will lead to other health problems... or are an indication of health problems...totally not true. The only indication of pyramiding is something is not right... that's it.
If the animal is alive now a good diet and good environmental conditions will probably lead to a very long and healthy life.
Key words here... good environmental conditions... good diet.
