Chips and big brother...

AnthonyCaponetto Jan 27, 2005 02:31 AM

I got some great dalmatians last year from my Bawaa Herps line. Here are two of my favorites...chips and his/her big brother (hatched in June).

Here's big bro. He's not quite done turning color. Should be really nice as an adult.

Here's the little guy/girl, Chips...just now starting to get some color. From my experience with this bloodline and considering who the parents are, he/she should be a nice red adult.

Colored up...

Not colored up...

Here are the parents, just for kicks...

Dad...big spots.

Mom...just little specks.

No matter how many fancy patterns there are, good Dalmatians are hard to beat. They'll always be one of my favorites. Hope you all like.

nice looking cresteds Anthony. dalmatians were the first crested morph to catch my eye and my first crested was one.

do you find there's alot of demand for dalmatians?

I remember that one. It's got the fire/harlequin trait going as well as some big spots.

Now that I think about it, I'm not exactly sure why I sold that gecko.

Great gecko...That one is actually showing fire and Dalmatian traits. That, in my opinion, is going to be seen more and more in the future. Then again, I think all of the morphs would look cool with some big black spots.

Thanks. Same here. The first Cresteds I got were Dalmatians...same bloodline as these, actually.

As for demand, it varies because "Dalmatians" vary quite a bit. Some Dalmatians have very few spots and aren't visually striking, but good Dalmatians (the ones with large, multiple spots) are always in demand. The biggest potential (in my mind) is crossing the fire/harlequin trait and the dalmatian trait (like the ones posted in this thread by others).
