I just got two more emails this week to which I could not respond. I replied to both emails with the answers they were seeking only to have both emails bounced back to me undeliverable.

Like other snake breeders, I send out so much email that many spam filters perceive me as a bulk mailer. Sometimes it's simply a spam filter setting that blocks key words in my email that keeps folks from receiving my letters.

If anyone has written to me recently and didn't get a response, please call me (830) 964-3200. I usually get over 100 emails per day and have answered EVERY SINGLE ONE. Some of those bounce back though. Know that if I didn't respond to your email, electronics are responsible for the response failure. Check your spam filters or customized block lists to make sure you're not missing out on some potentially important emails from me and other breeders. Also, it's helpful if you put your phone number in your email so if we're unable to respond via email, we can at least call you. Just include a day/time that's most convenient to receive phone calls from me.

I've noticed that my emails to AOL members bounce back if I have my email signature feature turned on. If I turn off my signature feature, those emails will go through.

Lots of people are presuming that I choose not to respond to their emails. It's very frustrating to send a response to all those, only to get them back in a few minutes as undeliverable. In most cases, it means their spam filters rejected my return email. I never put attachments on or into emails I send unless someone has requested a picture so it can't be because of attachments.

If someone is reluctent to put their phone number in the email to me, I understand that. If you don't get a response from me, please call our phone number. Like Kathy, we answer ALL emails. It's just that some of those answers never make it back to their computers. >

please be SURE to speak slowly and clearly! Some people speak really quickly, or softly, or mumble. Or sometimes the message is clear - until the last number or two of the phone #! Consider even repeating the phone # to make sure it can be heard. The newer digital phone machines don't seem to be quite as clear to me as the old tape machines were (or my hearing just isn't as good as it was back then, lol!). I always answer messages if I can understand them, so please call again or send an email if you don't get a response.
