I had seen a publication that mentioned average purchasing prices between boas and I tend to agree. Surinames have a higher average purchasing price something like $300-$700 while Peruvians range $200-$400... these are baby prices. Although the highest prices paid for BCC have to be top quality Peruvians.. in the $1000 range.
Also, I just wanted to say that if you didn't buy your animal from a reputable seller as a Peruvian or a Suriname... its just a Red-Tail Boa.. probaby a nice Colombian. I didn't always understand it myself, until I kept boas, but breeders of BCC make a big deal about their animals being BCC from the locality of origin. Post a picture if you could, maybe you got lucky.
