Outdoor pictures of my male hog Crictor.

MountainLyon Jan 27, 2005 05:18 PM

I figured out how to get some outdoor pics during winter (in N Calif.) The backyard thermometer in the shade only read 60 but it felt much warmer in the sun. I was pruning back some bushes in the yard while the sun was out and the idea came to me. A small covered deck on the south side of my house acts as a heat trap, I never thought about taking pics there because it’s the ugly corner of the yard. In no time I had a boa on washed cuttings on plywood on a garbage can on the deck in the ugly corner of the yard.

The sun began to go behind a cloud so I got some different lighting, but it also got colder and Crictor didn’t look too happy so I finished up and got him back inside.
As I was carrying him back in the house, the sun came back out for a minute so I took of shot of him on my hand. He seems a lot more comfortable having his picture taken when I’m holding him. He’s such a snuggler. :^) This one shows his side colors better than the others, now I know why people are always saying the colors didn’t show up in their pics. It’s annoying to hear that all the time but it’s true.
