Does small Sulcata=small eggs and Large Sulcata =large eggs?

ccetony Jan 27, 2005 06:16 PM

Does the size of the animal determine the size to the eggs? My Female sulcata layed 9 eggs that are smaller than eggs that I have seen from larger females. I am trying to see if these eggs are good and that the hatchlings will be smaller. I hope I am makeing sense. Is their a way to detemine if the eggs are good?

Thanks

Tony

I'm not sure about Sulcatas but every other tortoise that I do know about that is not the case.

Many eggs are usually small and few eggs are usually large and this is independent of the size of the tortoise.

Here is that male Egyptian and one egg she laid. How she passed it I can't imagine...

One more time...

but if a Kiwi can do it why not a tortoise.

(the picture is a joke the other stuff is fact)(i don't know why I need to say that)
