of a crotalid mid strike. I am giving a presentation on venemous and thought this would be a good place to ask for a good picture.

There are two pictures of a rattler striking and hitting a ballon in Sherman Minton's, Venomous Reptiles. Old book but the picture is there.
It was probably a typo in your message, and please don't take offense, but, if you are giving a presentation it's best to be sure: it's spelled "venomous."
This was posted on the forum last year but remains my favorite 'mid strike' photo.
