growth ? about croc monitors

wolsniw Jan 27, 2005 09:49 PM

Hello i have a six foot croc monitor that i've had for almost a year now. I measures him/her a few days ago and was surprised to find out that it had not grown.i measured him/her with a rope so I know theres some margine for error but I was thinking that it should have grown at least a little. When I got the croc its snout was really bangged up so I kept him in a cold bathroom for a couple weeks for its wounds to heal. could that have stunted its growth? Also is it possible that it's a female and they don't get that large?
four months had passed since i measured him last.

Any comments would be greatly apreciated.

I forgot it eats at least 3 large rats a week and its snout has healed.

why would you keep it in a cold shower for a few weeks?
