Which seem to be more active, male or female eastern box turtles? Is there any difference in the activeness between them? Do the males or females tend to get larger in size?
thanks

In a word, yes.
Activity levels can vary seasonally, and right now mine are all pretty inactive (its also gotten HOT). In spring, the males were very active, looking for love, then a couple of weeks ago the females were more active than the males, looking for nesting sites. Females can get bigger than males, and certainly heavier compared to a male of similar size. Of course there are variables from one individual to the next. These are observations of my group, and don't necessarily reflect the "norm", so you'll probably hear differently from different people.
