Dont get me wrong I am estatic! When I got raindrop she was about 4 to 5 ft long an as far as I know has never been bread?Isn't 36 babies kinda a large number of babies for a first litter?I mean I have learned that female redtails first litter are normally small! If that was a small litter I can only imagine how many will be in the next litter!WOW!I mean man if the 3 pills had made it that would have been 40 babies! An my other female that dropped prematurely is donig great she just went into shed stage!Heres a few pics of the proud daddy! Sry the pics arent that good!Ill get better ones, the first! He is an amazing boa, just gets better an better with every shed! Thanks for looking an answering my questions!Eric[Hypoboa]

I'd say 40 is big period. How big is she now, and how old? I had a 5 year old "first time momma" drop 40 (33 live, 7 slugs) for her first litter and they were huge babies. She was 22 lbs, 74 inches going into that breeding season. Last year, she dumped 39 slugs (no mating, she went anyways). This year, sure as sh!t, she is ovulating again. I sure hope she was mated this year! I wasn't here to watch.

You might just have a good producer on your hands. Congrats!

The female was actually 1 an half inches from being 6 ft long!she weighed around 23 lbs when I interduced the male in late august, she ate a small rat every 3 weeks like clock work the hole time during pregnancey an as she started looking ruff the closer she got I changed it to every other week!Yea she lost a large amount of weight all them babies took their toll on the momma! She was all babies! But she ate a small rat for me afterwards an is doing great! So I am hoping she will put her weight back on, with no problems! If she dont I believe Ill give her a break this next season! Thanks for answering my questions,Eric[Hypoboa]

The female I mentioned before apparently CAN'T be stopped from breeding. I am considering putting her in a completely empty room next year in hopes that she will not go. She had no problems bounding back from both births, and has maintained a weight in between 28 and 32 pounds over the last two seasons at just shy of 7 feet. She dropped those slugs in the beginning of August and ovulated this week.

I would say this is a good sign she is healthy and perfect age. One of my females first litter there were 29 babies, she was 25lbs before breeding. all the babies were big too like 24 inches. I bet she will be a good breeder for you in the future too. 37 thats awsome congrats now lets see some pictures!

I had a first time mom drop 39 and 2 slugs last year, she was just over 3 years old when she bred, she was a little bigger though, just over 8 feet. Craig
