from color to blk & wht after a few sheds

has anyone out there come to a conclusion as to what is going on with a ball python when they lose pigmentation after a few sheds? i have recently traded a burmese for a female ball python. she ate the moment i got her home and then went into a shed cycle. well she shed last night and when i pulled her out to take a look at her. well she's now looking like a half normal half axanthic ball python. i know i've seen these on there posts before. but i'd like to know if anyone out there knows just why this happens. i'll include a pic of her for you to see what i'm talking about. thank you for any help you can give me

some ball pythons have been losing their color after a few sheds? is it something dealing with their health or is it some form of new genetic mutation at the brink of exposing itself to be proven out?
