Better Buy For My Money....Please Respond

mandk Jan 28, 2005 01:18 PM

I will be going to Daytona this year...(first time ever) I will be carrying $2500 to spend with me for snake(s). What would be the better buy?
1.0 OR 0.1 Albino Ball (baby) (sub adult)
1.1 100% Het Piebald (baby) (sub adult)
1.1 Pastel (baby)

I like all 3 morphs..can't decide...would like to hear your opinions!!

MUCH BETTER FOR YOUR MONEY!

Pastel pair!

-more money from pastel to pastel breeding.
-more money from pastel to normal breeding.
-easier selling pastels than het albinos.
-much easier sell pastels than selling 50% het pieds.
-you will already have a female in the mix and would have to buy some sub-adult normal females for the albino, more money to spend.

GOD Bless

If your carrying cash I'm sure you should be able to find someone late in the day that would sell you a male albino AND a 100% het female for $2500. You'd be surprised what you can get when your buying with cash and it is close to closing time and dealers are looking to make those last couple sales!

I guess if I was you and had 2500.00 to spend. I would get a albino and a pastel male. I would say that if you talked to the right breeder you can get the albino for 1750.00 and the Pastel male for 750.00, That is if you fine the right business that wants to make MONEY. The het Pieds would be good also but you are just buying NORMALs that are HET for pied. I would rather look at a pastel or albino the normals that are hets. Not saying anything bad about NORMALS just saying If your gonna look at normals the get Normals, Yea that will produce pieds but that is in 2-3 years, Albino Male will produce hets the first year and Pastel male will do the same also. Thanks DAVID

Best bang for your buck..... 1.1 pastels. Pick up some normal females as well. Later on you could probably do some trades using the baby pastels that you will have produced for some albinos or other morphs.

I would get a male albino, a male pastel, and a male het for pied. Also some normal females. This way you are able to diversify over three different morphs and have some immediate eye candy.

You may be a little bit short on $$$, but if you use cash, shop around, wheel and deal a little bit, and perhaps put together a package deal you should be alright.

My buddy bought a male pastel at Daytona for $500 last year (a pretty sweet price for last year, but I bet they are in that range this year)and I saw het pied males being sold for $400.
