The way some sellers will have an ad and continue to act like there is no one on it. Like they make an agreement with someone to sell an amimal, but while they are waiting to receive the payment and someone else bites they hedge by leading them on like they are the only ones. If they are waiting on a payment JUST SAY SO. Like "well if the deal goes south, you can have next dibs" Not pulling the rug out and saying " OOPs sorry I sold it"

You are right Nancy, that is completely wrong and cowardly in my opinion.
Like you said, if there is a deal in progress the person should be told the truth.
"I am in the middle of a possible deal with these snakes but if that deal falls through I would be glad to contact you."
Something similar to that shouldn't be very hard to convey.
Apparently you missed out on a snake or some snakes you wanted so I hope you find them through someone esle a bit more honest and reliable.

I absolutely agree with both of you, but as a seller, let me just add that it is equally frustrating to have a buyer say "I want that snake! Don't sell it to anyone else! The money is on the way!" Only to have the "buyer" respond after a few days of unanswered emails with something like: "Oh, sorry...I found a better deal."

A "buyer" gets exactly one chance to do me this way, then I am finished with him/her. You would be surprised at how many names I have added to my "Do not sell to" list...

Courtesy goes a long way in this business/hobby, but it should go BOTH ways in my opinion.

I also hate when someone tells me the checks in the mail.LOL.If there sending me a money order I make them send it next day air with a tracking number.
But I do email people who respond to my adds even if there sold or on hold for 24 hours...Paul
