FBT's Rule!

herpsplendor Jan 28, 2005 03:09 PM

I have to admit that FBT's are probably the best pet herp from an enterainment and easy-to-care for perspective. Here is my 5 gallon tank on my desk at work with 2 toads..a gren one and a brown one for variety. The CEO asks to come and watch when I feed them...always draws a crowd. I love beardies, geckos, Treefrogs, Ball Pythons and Tortoises, but none of them would really make it in a work environment as well as these guys do. The women just love them! These guys have been here since June 04 with one tank cleaning since then and still doing great. The filter is under the the hill on the right and you can see the return tube traveling to the opposite end of the tank under the plastic driftwood so there is a full flow. Put it in a cheap tupperware with holes drilled in it to isolate it away from the gravel. The heater keeps the appetites and colors going strong.

5 gallons? Isn't that a little small for 2 fbt's? Anyways, your setup looks alot like my first fbt tank.

No conflicts...they seem to get out of each other's way when they want to. Everbody gets their fill...I agree, though. I wouldn't consider any more for that size and know it's a bit of a push at two. But these guys are ultra-adaptable to almost any environment as long as there is enough food and water.
