heres a good headshot of her

got that cool brown color going on!
Very nice mex mex! Anymore where that came from?
Bill
Nice one Tom.
Very classic looking. It has that classic head pattern and nuchal stripe characteristic of Mexmex.

Very nice mexmex.
I just love the head patterns on these. N/P
Uncloudy
Theres some nice reds in that guy similar head pattern to mine but the stripe isnt quite as long. Another thing I noticed is on the back there are 2 boxes of brown/gray surrounded by red, one is sort of close to the head and the other is further back I am wondering if she will develop any more of them.
Tom
Actually I have to correct myself it looks ,like the nuchal stripes are actually similar in the pics I guess I thought it was longer just from handling her.
Tom
Tom,
A mex mex is born with a pattern it will keep all its life. It may change coloration. Coloration change is due mostly to speckling within the scales. The "boxes" on your snake are saddles that are fused if you will. Very neat. It could possibly be line bred to produce more in offspring though.
Great Mexmex,
John Lassiter
Stop posting those pics of the darks, it makes me want one even more LOL
How much longer till summerLOL
Tom
You can't wait....I can't wait!

The more I learn and see the mexicana spp. makes me wonder why in the I have and have had so many California Kings. LOL
Uncloudy
Don't get me wrong I keep and breed Getula as well. I currently have. 12 calkings, 9 floridana, 4 splendida and soon many Holbrooki.
I just like my Mexicana better. Calkings were my first snakes to breed and keep. Thayeri were my second.
John Lassiter
Are you gonna be producing the killer looking "Texas yellow-belly speckleds" if ya are let's see some pics on the getula forum, please.
