Oh sorry to get back you late.

Good observation, the one in the front was a male, and other at the back was a female.

Herewith a photo of the two. Enjoy...

Hi rkreptiles & Carlc,

Again, sorry to get back you late.

I lived in Hong Kong, and got them from a local petshop. If you are really interest, I can try to ask the shop keeper for you.

I was just curious because they are banned from export. Now that you explained where you got them it makes sence. Not all CITES participating countries follow the regulations.

Oh my goodness! I am green with envy! Where do you live now? Hopefully, you can have lots of success with them and hatch out some babies.

I can't believe they sell them in pet stores in Hong Kong...they aren't even exported, then over there you see them in pet stores. What a strange thing...

Congrats on your beatiful Campani!

Kristen

Thanks Kristen,

Do you know anyone with success on breeding campani?

They are really beautiful and just hope that they can be release from CITES soon.

Meanwhile, I'm not sure whether they are totally banned for export as on and off, I find them sales in Japan web site. So, I presume a limited volume is still exporting from Mag.

trinacliff Feb 01, 2005 10:53 PM

I wish I knew someone that has bred them...you're one of the only people that I have ever heard of that has had them.

Please keep us posted on them as I'm sure many of us would like to see how they do.

Take care
Kristen

Take care too.

According to CITES regulations, all CITES member countries sould view any F. campani exported from Madagascar since 1995 as illegal, including any offspring bred from animals exported after 1995.

Thanks for the updated.

In the case, I'll notify the shop of the case. Moreover, please allow me to clarify that I'm not try to promote any illegal activtiy here and this species were also haven't been seem here for a long time and has no intention of violating any regulation.

Oh by the way Chris, I have been a reader of the "chameleon online E-Zine" for a long time and I believe it is one of the best site that I would introduce to all my local cham fans here.

Take care and have a good day
Rick
