new cage pictures

akmedic Jan 29, 2005 02:19 AM

I’ve been “lurking” around the forums for quite some time now, I don’t usually post but I wanted to share some pictures with you all.

Attached are photos of my new snake cages. (a late Christmas present from my husband) They took about a month to build, and I just love them! Each cage is 5’Lx 2’H x 2’D, the four cages were built together so that they stack.. Making them 8’ tall altogether. (which BARELY fit under the ceiling in my reptile room… it was very close!)

We used glass (instead of plexiglass) for the doors. Each cage has it’s own CHE and fluorescent light strip. I used a bed-a-beast/bark/moss mixture as the substrate in most of the cages…. I like it because it holds humidity well. All the cages have driftwood/manzanita branches and both fake and live plants (mostly pothos and ivy).

The top cage houses my Jungle Carpet Python, the second my CBB Emerald Tree Boa, the next houses my Children’s python, and my bearded dragon pair are in the bottom for now. (I’m hoping to eventually have a BRB in the bottom cage)

Our current project my husband and I are working on is converting the closet in the reptile room into large cage for my 7.5’ Colombian Boa… I’m expecting it will take probably another month to finish (we both work full time) but I’ll post some pictures as soon as it’s done.

So how do I post more than one picture at a time?

crtoon83 Jan 30, 2005 10:39 AM

you use the command

[ i m g ] (insert url to picture) [ / i m g ]

(remove all the spaces.)

Example, remember to remove the spaces)

if you put in

[ i m g ] http://students.uwf.edu/crt4/snakes/lola/5shd4.jpg [ / i m g ]

you would get
