New Cage suggestions for my carpet...

Juice247 Jan 29, 2005 11:47 AM

I've had my Irian Jaya for about 3.5 years now and she's grown to the point I feel my enclosure is too small. Currently she's 6.5' and 6lbs. The current setup is abuot 32"lx12"wx18"h. It's a wood cage with a laminate floor & screen top. I like the fact it holds in heat well and it is somewhat attractive. The hinged/locking plexiglass door is nice too. The downsides are that it's hard to control humidity with the screen top and it does not allow for an under tank heater due to the 2 ply floor construction. So... two questions:

a) is the enclosure adequate in size?
b) what suggestions are out there for new enclosures?

Thanks in advance!

The cage seems a little narrow. I would recommend something like a Vision 322 or 332 minimum or larger. I really like their products or you can try any of the cages by AP Plastics or Boaphile. I like the fact that they are stackable and easy to heat, light and monitor humidity.

yea..thats way to narrow..i have a 5ft male in a 4x2x2 and that works out pretty good.
