Well is this it's first shed?
There is no exact time.
Humidity plays a role in shedding.
Once the eyes go blue, shed is not far........

he is about six months... its the first shed since i've had him.

i have been having some trubble keeping it humid enought in there this might be causeing the prolonged shed. i havent seen his eyes blue but we were gone on vacation for atleast some of the proses. we got back and his eyes were cloudy and his skin was very dull. the next day there was little bits of skin in the cage and now he real shaggy and has ben for a bout 3-4 days with very slow progress.
please help.

I record the first sign of pre-shed (blue eyes) as well as the actual shed. All of my animals complete the cycle in exactly four (4) days. It's like clockwork around here.

Now if only I could get those same results with feedings. =/

i havent seen his eyes blue but we were gone on vacation for part of the proses... we came back and his eyes were cloudy and his skin was real dull. the next day there was little bits of skin all over the cage. that was about a week ago. so its hard to tell where he's at.

thanks
