A big whoo-hoo from Double J today.
I got my first clutch from my Costa rican auratus AWOOO!
Most of the eggs had grey centres, but there are three that look potentially promising. I am expecting total "first clutch syndrome," but the three that looked alrght are in petri dishes at the moment. Heh, it certainly was nice to wake up to my auratus in the act of laying eggs. The funny thing was that they decided to lay on the leaves of one of the peace lilies insted of their coco-hut. Oh well, maybe they are exhibitionists. Either way, I am pretty stoked regardless of the outcome here. Eggs are eggs, and I know I am doing something right. As for my auratus, Morris Day would be proud.
