Getting Lighter

zoolady Jan 29, 2005 11:20 PM

Just posting a pic of my Great Basin baby. If you remember I had posted earlier on it. It was all dehydrated and wrinkled skin...just in awful shape and wouldnt eat either...Poor guy was in awful shape when I found him!
Well here he is now!
The vegi oil worked great. And once he shed he started eating like a pig.
Interesting though, seems that with each shed he is getting lighter and lighter in color. He is almost alll white around the saddles now. Most BG's I find out here are light brown, reddish brown, and sometimes gray around the saddles. But this one is almost all white now. Really pretty!

I bought a hognose for a friend at a Hamburg show last year that has those same colors on it. The white/cream background and darker brown saddles. VERY nice color combination. Glad to hear the little rippah's doing well.
