does anyone keep live mice in the same room as their snakes? just curious as to how/or if the snakes react. i feed mine f/t. i had pet mice as a kid an was thinking of getting them again as pets but would want to keep them in my room as the snakes.

1 feisty albino sonoran gopher

The constant smell of food has caused some peoples snakes to go off feed when kept in the same room.

Maybe this is me being wierd/paranoid, but I wouldn't want the pet mice to watch little mouse corpses fed to their reptilian neighbors.
Cats and dogs or cats and cockatiels are one thing, but snakes and mice are so highly instinctive, that it could set everyone on edge.
I'm personally at a loss on how to work it out, but I wish you luck.

I keep one pet mouse in my snake room. All of my snakes eat except one BP. But, I dont think its cause of the mouse smell, its because hes a BP. Give it a try. If it doesnt work out just feed the mouse to the snakes. jk
