cypres mulch or aspen what is better,

i know i asked before but i have a huge bag of cypres, and want to know would that be good for my ball or should i get aspen,
thanks if i put it in i have to feed her in a diff tank right.

I prefer the cypress mulch. True, any loose substrate can be messy. But I think the aspen was messier, and I personally do not like the scent it gives off. The cypress, however, only smells like moist earth when you open it up, and has no ral lingering odor at all when it dries out more.
I feed my snakes right in their cages, but care must be made to eliminate the possibility of them swallowing mulch. I just pick the snake up, lay down a layer of newspaper, and feed on top of that. I completely supervise the feeding of each of my snakes though, which might be tough if you have alot of animals. But if there's no way you can do this, I would try the newspaper, or set a shallow rubebrmaid type container in there, put the snake into that, put the food in too, and secure the cage lid.

I use Cyprus Mulch on my snakes, Balls, Boas, all of them, Its great when they are going to shed cause Cyprus Mulch holds moisture and doesn't mold like other bedding does. It just dries out, and you can spot clean just like any other bedding.
