Guppies in FBT tank/ plants/# of FBT's in tank/...

I started off with 5 guppies in my FBT tank. 2 males and 3 females. Within the first two days one of the males died. I thought nothing of it because for me it is common for feeder like fish to die shortly after purchase. Then about a 5 days later another guppy died. It was a female. Now yesterday another guppy died, it was another female. So now all that is left is a nice colorful fat male and a nice and fat female guppy. The other gupppies that died appeared to be picked on because there fins were basically shredded. Are guppies territorial? If I have had my guppies for about 1 1/2 weeks now, how long until i should expect some fry? Should i not put any more fish in the tank? They are in a 20 gallon tank that is 2/3 water(1/3 land), and the water is about 4 inches deep. They are also housed with two FBT's that appear to have no interest in the guppies as food.

Also, how many FBT's can i compfortably house in a 20 gallon tank?

I have a lot of plants in my tank. The land area is covered with 1 cm of moss, and i have 2 different types of vines growing and I have a really cool fern like plant growing in there. With all these plants in there, are they filtering the water to any degree? Could they remove some of the toxins in the water? I have a filter so don't worry, I am just wondering if haveing lots of plants could help filter the water. Are there any other type of small growing plants that could be a cool addition to my tank?

When the vines grow two large/long i will cut them/trim them to a proper size, so my tank wont get over crowded. Also, my male guppie started off a pinkish color with a red/blueish tail. Now he has a turquoise body, with a blue dorsal fin, and his tail is like fire pink with light blue/green. Is this a normal colored guppy? My female started off grey with a yellow tail with black spots. Now she has a turquoise/blue/green dorsal fin. Again is this unusual in any way?

PS
I will take a pic of my tank and try to post it on the forum some time this week.

I'd say about 5, I have 3 in a 10 gallon, and your suppose to have 5 gallon per frogs, that's just 4 though, but 5 would be ok.

your set up in simular to mine. i have 3 FBT's in a 15 gallon size tank with some gravel on one side, a fake log, some small rocks, fake plants, filter and some guppies. my fire bellies don't eat the guppies either. i think it's becasue the guppies are to fast for them.
i bought the feeder guppies and a couple died on their own. so we bought a couple of fancier guppies. all's well with the guppies. infact they are starting to have babies.
guppies come in all different colors so i think yours are just getting adult coloring. once a female gets real hugh i see a baby soon after.
i'm no expert but i wonder if all the plants you have is adding something to the water to kill your guppies. just a thought.
