what kind of striped corn is this?

lilivoryflower Jan 30, 2005 11:58 AM

Hi, I was sold a baby corn by a reputable breeder who said it was an anery stripe het bloodred, but he doesnt look like any anery stripe I have seen. The breeder said this was because of the bloodred in him, but I dunno, what do you guys think? please follow the link to the pics as I havnt been able to post them directly one here, too big. Thanks!

-- By the way, he has no red or yellow to him, he is light grey/brown background with dark grey/brown stripes, some of the pics make him look a little red.

No theres no problem, he's a great snake, I just saw some pictures of other anery stripes that didn't look like him, so I was just wondering, Thanks

look alike, no more than any other morph. There is variences from very light colored to darker colored, from brownish to near black, those with yellow necks and those wihtout, and everything in between. But that surely looks like an anery stripe and a nice looking one. It also has the looks on the side like it could very well be het bloodred.

Nice snake.

Here is a picture of my anery stripe boy, you can see he is light colored brownish and has pale yellow on his sides.

Nice little guy, though I would have thought that pinkie was a bit large for him. I'm a newbie and am just trying to to get an idea of what's appropriate so I'm interesting in other's thoughts.

it all depends on the individual snake. This particular boy was/is a voracious eater and could eat two small pinks at a meal and look for more. He had just gotten moved up to large pinks here at this time. He is now eating fuzzies and is a growing machine. BUT I have some the same age that can only handle a couple small pinks and I do not feel they are ready to handle a bigger meal. So, as I said, each snake is based on itself, not on any given guide lines for age/size.

Thanks, I love the looks of your little guy, just wondering if you had any plans to breed him, because I am looking to breed mine to something that will give me a lot of diversity in the F1 clutch, since he is het for bloodred, i was thinking of a bloodred girl, what do you think?
