Mold on fertile egg, what should I do?

snakecharmed Jul 06, 2003 07:00 AM

The egg has veins, but there is a patch of mold on the top, how can I get rid of it? I have been using a dry q-tip and gently rubbing it off, but in a day or so, it comes back! Is this egg doomed? Besides the mold, the egg looks great, I can even see the heart beating. Thanks, Christy

I have heard of using a lil dab of fingernail polish remover. Just a Lil don't want alot to absorb into the growing egg. Just what I have heard I have never had that problem, good luck.

Use a Qtip to apply a small amount of antifungal foot powder. Also check your humidity, it is probably to high.
