I have three normal female balls, however, I just picked up a male at a swap that has numerous grey spots, each about an inch or so in diameter, not perfect circles and most don't follow his pattern, they cover it. He's approx 1 year of age. I only mannaged one photo before my camera died and it's of one spot near his tail. These spots are the same texture as the rest of him, not like scale damage. He's also got numerous light spots in his darker pattern areas.

I have a female here doing the same exact thing. She was completely normal from a hatchling ('04), up until about the last 2-3 sheds. I started noticing these silver/grey areas all over her, increasing in number and size after each shed. I obviously couldn't say for certain, but I imagine this is something that's "developing" in your's as well. I vaguely remember seeing others like this before too.

Are you planning on breeding that particular female in the future?

She's a female that I was raising up to eventually breed. She looks really similar to the one Red has posted below, but is a bit more scattered. I'll try to get a pic of her posted this week.

i had a post about this same subject just a few days ago but got no responses. so please let me know if you find out anything here. i have a female here that's doing the same thing. i honestly don't know what is going on with her. i do know that there have been several others with their bp's doing the same thing. so who knows exactly what it is. here's a pic of my girl....

Sorry Red. I must have missed your thread. Had I seen it, I would have mentioned seeing it take place in one of mine too. I'd like to know what's going on myself. Could be something. Could be nothing. For now, it's just different
