Rhac Racks (from Anthony) - Nice!

NeoScales Jan 30, 2005 04:15 PM

So we finally got our new baby Crested rack setup. For those who don't know, the racks are distributed by Anthony Caponetto. We really like the convenience and quality they offer. With the exception of our large breeding racks, we'll be switching all of our Cresteds over to them exclusively as the larger sizes become available.

Anthony already has some great images of them on his site, but here's some of mine

Very tight fit, I'm very comfortable keeping our hatchlings in them.

(FYI: The racks hold 9 small Kritter Keepers)

Great shots, Randy. Thanks for posting those. Here's one I set up with some lights and artificial foliage (something new I'm trying out). Keep us posted on how the rack is working out for you.

Anthony,

What are you using on the bottom of the Kritter Keepers in this picture?

This looks really great...

I have to share a funny story. We got our crestie at the reptile show in Hamburg. We've been many times and came specifically for a crested that time. Anyway, my son was so anxious to get some stuff for inside the tank and I was busy looking at some supplies for some of our other pets. He wanted some help picking out artificial leaves and I told him to just get whichever ones he wanted. I paid for everything and got all the way home, unpacked the bag and at that moment realized that the stuff he picked out was fake marijuana leaves! He had no clue at all and I hadn't even looked. So now everytime I look in there I have to laugh!

Great story.

Reminds me of the time I had someone from the Petstore (a friend of mine) pick out some stuff for my display at my campus church. (I have a reptile display in the lobby!!). I get there, and what is one of the display plants? You guessed it - a nice marijuanna plant! I left it there to see if any of my college students commented.

They did. We got a good laugh over it!

It's disposable cage liner (DCL). I'm toying around with using that instead of newspaper. It's relatively thick and absorbent, so I only need one layer, which means that the feeder roaches nowhere to hide.

I've had those plants! They're ones with a suction cup on them. When I was in highschool, I came home with some to put in my spotted python cage. Unfortunately, my parents weren't nearly as amused as you are.

The larger racks are almost ready. I came up with another idea after getting the last prototype, so things got pushed back by a few days. The info should be on my website soon.

Thanks,
Anthony
