I went to the pet store today and was going to buy some crix but the were all out. My cresteds havn't had a good source of protien in about two weeks. So I bought some mealworms instead, is that ok. Please, any comments will help.

Yes it's safe to feed them mealworms, however Cresteds are attracted by movement. That's why the fast moving crickets and roaches are readily eaten by many Cresteds. The minor wiggling of mealworms isn’t likely to attract a lot of attention.

It's okay - and they may or may not eat them. I've only tried waxworms a couple of times with my Crested and he gobbles them up. I wait until they are warmed up and active and toss them in.
